The most important team
member is the
Southern Rightwhale
They return every year to
Golfo Nuevo to give birth
and mate.
Without our giant friends
unforgettable encounter
would be impossible.

Our »human team« in Patagonia has been working together for many years. Out of
working contracts, friendship grew. Due to our great experience we are able to handle
any situation in a calm uncomplicated way to ensure our clients have a relaxed stay and
unforgetable safari.
< Frank Wirth has been managing Whale Watch Patagonia Project
in peninsula Valdez since 1993.
He is one of the most experienced whale watching guides and has
worked with cetacea in all oceans around the world.
Beside several book publications he is working as film director for
wildlife documentaries. Since 1995 he also manages the Whale
Watching base of Pico Sport Lda. in the Azores islands.
< Jorge Schmid is the owner of Argentinas first and most professional
Whale watching base. He is a good friend and has taken more than
one hundred thousand clients to see the whales. He operates the
biggest fleet in Patagonia with 6 boats in different sizes.
When Frank went to watch whales in patagonia many years ago he
found out that regular tours and boats were not his idea of Whales
Observation, therefore he gave Jorge the idea to invest in one small
speed boat which is fast, economic and safe. The difference between
the normal whale watching with the big boats and the small speed
boat is that with the small boat we can go far offshore and observe
cetacea for many hours, unlike the big boats which go for one hour
to ninety minutes and close to the shore. Jorge still operates this
boat called »Cangreca«.

> Marcello Nielson is our driver who is
always in a good mood. No way is to long
to suit the needs of the guests. Frank
has made lots of kilometres with him
around Patagonia.

> His brother is Roberto Nielson. We work
with Tito when we have more than 6 clients
in a group. He is like his brother a very good
driver who knows every stone in Southern
Patagonia.

< Ricardo Perez is our man in Ria Deseado.
The former ARGENTINA CHAMPION IN CANOOING knows the river
very well. With his boats we explore the river and go out to
Penguin island.

> Javier Fernandes belongs to the
team at the Ria Deseado. He is
a skipper and aguide. He stays
over night with our groups in the
camp on penguin island.
